Originally a petrol-powered vehicle and affectionately known as “Hamara Bajaj” (Our Bajaj), the Chetak has been a reliable and affordable means of transportation for decades. The contemporary electric version, Chetak Electric, boasts a 4.2 kW BLDC Motor and a 2.89 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a top speed of 63 km/h and an impressive 90 km range. History of Bajaj Chetak:
Named after the legendary horse of Maharana Pratap, the original Chetak’s design evolved over the years. Initially inspired by Vespa, it later transformed into an in-house design. Despite facing competition from bikes and cars, production ceased in 2005. However, the Chetak legacy continues with the electric avatar.
Price Range:
Available in 5 variants and 10 colors, the Chetak Electric’s price ranges from Rs. 1,38,380 to Rs. 1,48,921 (ex-showroom). The 2024 Chetak, launched in two variants – Premium and Urbane, promises an enhanced riding experience.
